Liebster Award-ish Thing

Ciao bellezze!

What I'm listening to: You Are the Best Thing - Ray LaMontagne
Favorite thing I'm Wearing: Blue denim dress with polka dot bring that has pearl buttons that button up to my neck from TJ Maxx (I'm a humongous Maxinista, shoot me).
Fun fact about my life right now: Where I'm from, the warm weather has just begun so I've been bike riding a lot on my vintage bike from the 40's or 50's. Not sure which.

Okay so you all probably know of the Liebster award thing that's going around the blogsphere (is that a thing?) and if not, I can't really tell you what it is because I really don't know myself.  All I know is that people from blogs nominate like ten other blogs for this Liebster award thing and ask them questions.  It's actually been really cool seeing all these questions being answered!  However, I'm severely new to this blogging business, and wouldn't know who to nominate or how it's done so I'm being a blog Grinch and only answering the questions asked of me.  Sue me.  However, thank you so much to the three people that did nominate me!  You guys are the bomb diggity.  I'm blushing. Xx

The first lovely who nominated me is Daniela Huber from this gorgeous blog

1. Who is your fashion icon and why? I have three. Can I use three? Yes, I can.  Audrey Hepburn because she's classy and elegant.  Marilyn Monroe because she's flirty and fun.  Lastly, Lana Del Rey because her style is classic with a modern twist.
2. What are the 5 pieces you couldn't live without?  Clothing pieces?  I couldn't choose.  Over the last year, I've been obsessed with either retro or kawaii dresses so I've bought so many of them, I couldn't choose just five.
3. The thing you like the most about yourself?  I like that I like myself.  I used to have terrible self esteem issues, but I've learned to accept who I am, and to focus on other people instead of myself.
4. Your perfect outfit for the 1 date with the parents? Like, with my future boyfriend's parents?  Sorry, I'm probably screwing this up, I suppose I would stay true to my usual style and wear a nice peter pan collar blouse, a cute a-line skirt, and a pair of kitten heels!
5. What kind of phone do you have and why?  The iPhone! I love the photography aspect of it the most, especially Instagram!  You guys should follow me, just saying. ;)
6. Do you like vegetables?  Depends.
7. When you grow up what would you like to be?  Photographer or an indie/folk artist.
8. Tell me about your dreams. I dreamed a dream in times gone byyyy, when hope was high and life worth liviiiiing.  Also, I dream a lot about getting married. I want to get married very badly.
9. What is your favorite TV show and why?  New Girl! I love the hilarity and quirkiness of all the characters.  Also, the Walking Dead is incredible. It just is.
10. Flats or high heels?  HEELS.
11. Do you prefer the bright or the dark?  I despise dark rooms, but I prefer the night over the daytime. I do my best thinking/writing during the nighttime, and I am obsessed with the stars.

The second person to nominate me was a beautiful girl from a blog called Bright Eyes and Beautiful Lies (which, by the way, is splendid).  Check her out here!

1. Where are your top three places to travel?  I want to travel EVERYWHERE before I die so I just can't narrow down to three places!  My top six, however, are Paris, Rome, London, Ireland, New Zealand, and Tokyo, Japan.
2. Who is your favourite Disney princess (or character)?  I'm so obnoxious... I can't just pick one of them.  I'm a huge Disney geek.  My favorites are Ariel, Eric, Rapunzel, Flynn, and Megara.
3. Do you believe in anything supernatural?  Well, I believe in Jesus, He's pretty supernatural.
4. Who is your favourite author? I have so many, but right now I'm digging Ed Morgenstern.
5. If you could choose one junk food to be magically turned healthy, what would it be?  Jelly. Beans.
6. If you could live in a world from a book, which would you choose? NO. I CAN'T. SO MANY GOOD ONES. Probably Hogwarts though.
7. What are your pet peeves?  When people can't accept other people because of their differences.
8. What is your dream job?  Photographer, music artist, actress, make up artist, and anything that has to do with fashion.
9. What is your favourite accent?  If you've got an Irish accent, I am basically already in love with you.
10. Sweet, salty, or savoury?  Sweet!
11. Why did you start blogging?  Blogging combines writing, photography, fashion, and whatever else I decide to throw on here, and it's too much fun to do! <3

The third blogger to nominate me, was the lovely Issy from this wonderful blog.  Everyone should check her out!

1. What's your favourite meal?  Anything authentically Italian.
2. Post the favourite photo you've ever taken, and why is it your favourite?  Probably this one,  I just like the contrast and colors.  I'm pretty proud of it, and I hope that doesn't sound vain.

3. What's your favourite cocktail?  Well, I'm underage but I love any kind of virgin mojitos!
4. What's your favourite book?  I have literally SO many, but Perks of Being a Wallflower has always held such a dear place in my heart.
5. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you love to go?  Ireland or Italy.
6. What's your essential wardrobe item?  A cute, vintage dress.
7. What song would/did you have at your wedding?  Dear True Love by Sleeping at Last
8. Who's your favourite comedian?  TINA FEY OR AMY POEHLER, THEY ARE GODDESSES.
9. What do you love most about where you live?  Honestly, not much. I guess I do love all the wonderful friends that surround me.
10. How did you choose your blog name?  To be honest, my blog name is rather dull, but I guess I just liked the simplicity of it.
11. Would you prefer to have a dog or cat as your household pet?  CAT. CAT. CAT.

These were such GOOD questions. Thank you all!  All the nominations made me so happy!

Now the eleven random facts about myself:
1. I'm sixteen
2. Obsessed with cats
3. Obsessed with musicals, especially Les Miserables
4.  I don't go to public school, I take classes at a community college
5. I love dressing cutely
6. I play the ukulele and piano
7. I'm starting my job at a bubble tea shop next week
8. I love having deep conversations
9.  I sleep in a loft
10. I would love to be an astronaut, I'm obsessed with stars. They're beautiful!
11.  I wish I was a mermaid so I could sleep in the bathtub and not drown

So those are some random things about me.  Can anyone relate to the Irish accent thing? Yes?

Until next time,

-Carolina

P. S. Be sure to check out all these blogs, plus my dear friend Rae's blog!  She has such divine taste and she deserves WAY more followers and views!

Adorable Little Haul

Ciao bellezze!

What I'm listening to:  Farther Along - Josh Garrels
Favorite thing I'm wearing:  An antique-looking floral dress from Target.
Fun fact about my life right now: Whilst returning from buying the dress, I almost hit a car with mine. Scary, scary scary!

So today, I'm going to show you guys the cute things that I ordered a week and a half ago that came this week!  The first things I'm going to show you are from this little shop on Storeenvy called Bow Kuma! They sell bows, a few clothing items, and jewelry and it's all very kawaii and precious. So let's get started!

So first off, the packaging was super duper cute!

With the bows, they also gave you two really pretty cards of their business.  One of the cards has charming little stickers attached to it!  And they also gave you a free mint.

This is a more up close picture of the stickers!  As you can see, they're kawaii and cute and I love them!  I'm thinking about putting them on my bike!

These are the actual bows I ordered and I honestly couldn't be happier!  They are the same size as advertised, the quality in them was tremendous, and they are so. stinking. adorable.  The pink one with the floral and lace design is called 'Princess' although, it's sold out now.  Tears.  If you want one similar to it though, I'd go with 'Cotton'.  It has a floral pattern, it's girly, and I like it a lot!

The second bow is called 'Kitty Bow' and it's sold out as well which makes me really sad!  If you want one similar, I'd go with 'Rilakkuma Picnic' or 'Honey Rilakkuma' because they have the same cute factor as the kitty bow.

Other than the bows, I also ordered two dresses and a blouse from Allegra K on Amazon. They were all really cheap, but they look nice!  Plus, I can sew so if anything needs altering, I can just do it myself and it's a good spend of my money.  I also bought a pair of black heart print nude tights from Romwe (which will probably appear in an OOTD once they arrive!)

I also bought this shirt which is not pictured in the last one because I was wearing it.  This is a dorky photo of my face, but it expresses my joy for my new purchases!

It was such a beautiful day today!  The sun has finally begun to shine through the clouds, so I can wear all my cute things without having to bundle up under a thick coat.

In fact, it was such a nice day that my friend and I rode our bikes to a graveyard and took Polaroids.  And then we ate some delicious homemade macaroons and scones, and drank some tea.

Hope you all are having a nice day!  Comment if you like any of my purchases, or adore Bow Kuma as well!

Until next time,

Carolina

Inspirational Friday

Happy Friday everyone!  Hope everyone is having a fantastic day today.  I found this quote a few months ago and I have been obsessed ever since.  My goal in life is to be sincere and kind to all, and to not limit myself.  To be free and to love unconditionally.

And of course, to be a mermaid.

Have a swell day darlings!

Under 5 Minute Vintage Makeup

Ciao bellezze!

What I'm listening to: Give Me Love - Ed Sheeran
Favorite thing I'm wearing - Black long sleeve shirt with silver beads on the shoulders from Forever 21.
Fun fact about my life right now - I bought Les Miserables the movie on the day it came out and to be honest, I watched it two and a half times yesterday.  Marius can marry me right now okay.

Raise your hand if you like waking up early in the morning!
Trick question.
Because there's no way any normal human being enjoys crawling out of their warm, comfy bed in the bitter hours of early morning.  You're lying to yourself if you think otherwise.  Anyways, today I'm bringing you the make up I apply if I really don't have time to spend lots of minutes on my face!  It takes less than five minutes, and you'll look like you spent at least ten!  Hopes this helps those who slap the snooze button four or five times and leave themselves ten minutes to get ready each day (I'm talking about myself).

Maybelline's Dream Smooth Mousse and Dream Liquid Mousse are definitely my favorite things I've discovered in the make up industry.  You can find these foundations literally (bad use of literally) anywhere, I get mine from the local Walgreens or CVS.  They make your skin look incredibly smooth and airbrushed, but they're not too thick and they come in every single skin tone imaginable!  Well, unless you're green or something...

I apply a SPARSE coat of this powder foundation from Mineral Wear with a big fluffy brush.  Make sure to not cake this on, but lightly dust it onto your face.  Too much powder, and your face will look like it's being swallowed by it!

This blush is from Elf!  I regret to inform you that this was a gift and so I have no idea what exact color this is, but it's a very peachy pink color in real life, so just aim for that.  It's light and not totally obvious, it just gives your cheeks a nice, natural glow to them.  I use a small yet fluffy brush.

Apply a thick coat of either of these two mascaras to make your eyelashes look thick and long.  I would highly suggest Scandaleyes from Rimmel for everyday use.  It doesn't clump easily, and it really thickens those lashes, almost making them seem fake! If, however, you need completely waterproof mascara, I'd go with Maybelline's Colossal Volume Express.  It doesn't have the same effect as Scandaleyes, but if enough is applied, it will make your lashes thick and sexy.  And it really doesn't come off in the water!

CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick

Last but not least, the signature pin-up girl red lipstick.  I choose CoverGirl's LipPerfection, my bright red color is called Hot.  To be honest, I never leave the house without it, I'm addicted to red lipstick! I'm probably going to review my favorite ones at some point, so stay tuned.

So this is the final look! The lighting is a tad bit too bright, so the blush is hard to make out, but it's there!  My hair's in a lazy side braid which pretty much is my signature style: Laziness. Cute, right?  Probably not.  Tell me if this tutorial was a waste to read, or if you actually enjoyed it/learned something!  I love comments.

Also, I've never really tried bronzer before. If anyone knows any good brands I should try, give me a shout!

Cutest Things on Wanelo

Ciao bellezze!

What I'm listening to: The Luckiest - Ben Folds
Favorite thing I'm wearing: Teal and white polka dot bow atop my head!
Fun fact about my life right now: Today I'm supposed to get some of the packages that I ordered last week! I'm getting bows and tights!

Let's just talk about Wanelo.
If you don't know what it is, let me break this wonderful, wonderful site down for you.  It's kind of like Pinterest, showing you pictures of pretty clothes, phone cases, household items, backpacks, anything you could want to buy.  But with Wanelo, they show you the price and exactly where to buy the thing you want! So naturally, I'm going broke.  Because very few things I enjoy more than online shopping.  Getting letters and packages in the mail is one of my absolute favorite things in the world!  So as I was stalking through  casually glancing through this website, I compiled a list of the six cutest things I saw on there!  Enjoy!

cute whale lace case for iphone 4/4s/5

This is the cutest phone case I've ever seen!  Personally, I would buy it in pink.

Sleeping Kitten Backpack

This is way too cute!  I think this for me and my friend soon so we can be matching and adorable!

Bumper Moda-01 Mauve Floral Print Military Lace Up Ankle Boot - Shoes 4 U Las Vegas

Love these boots.  The colors in the floral pattern make my heart sing.
Coral bow knot bandeau bikini top
I adore this inexpensive frilly bandeau bikini top! I'm going to be ordering it soon, so I'm excited.

Sincerely Mint Dress | Mod Retro Vintage Dresses | ModCloth.com

Mint is arguably my favorite color to wear so I love this dress from ModCloth!

                                         One Spo Kitty Dress

Still deciding whether I want the black or white dress?  Forty bucks for a dress is kind of expensive for me, but honestly, I'm still going to get one because cats are my obsession.

So that's it.  Comment your opinions, I love them!  Anyone share my love for getting letters and packages?

OOTD - Cats Cats Cats

Hello darlings!

What I'm listening to: Music of The Night - Phantom of The Opera (I'm watching the 25th Anniversary on YouTube as we speak)
Favorite thing I'm wearing: Super comfy yoga pants from Victoria's Secret

Fun fact about my life right now: Currently sobbing over P. O. T. O... Guys I need help.

So today, I'm just writing a quick post about my outfit today, because I rather liked it.  I hope you like it too!

I wore this outfit out yesterday with my friends when we went to a bookstore/Starbucks. Yeah, that's right, coffee AND books, two of my favorite things!  It was a lot of fun, I bought Les Miserables the movie which just came out yesterday, and a white chocolate mocha of course! I'm wearing plain black tights from Charlotte Russe, denim skirt from Forever 21, kitty shirt from Forever 21.  I wouldn't call this 'high end fashion' but I liked the cuteness, especially the kitty t-shirt!

This is the top up close!  You probably can't read it, but the shirt says 'You had me at meow' which I think is precious!  It's a shirt for supporting the humane society, and it goes well with my pink Hello Kitty case.

And now here's my face.  I styled my hair with my Remington curling wand, pulled half of it back, popped in a rhinestone covered bow headband and called it good!  I used quite a bit of Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara (which is terrific, everyone should try it) to make my eyelashes thick, and I used two shades of shimmering eye shadow for my lids.

So that's it for this OOTD, sorry if it was a bit boring for some of you!  I have some very exciting news that goes along with the theme of this post and it is this: I'm getting a cat!!!!

For those who don't know (which is probably everyone) I ADORE cats with all of my heart.  Yesterday at a Petsmart, I pet a cat for twenty minutes straight and I would've done it for hours if I had more time!  The bad news is, my dad is extremely allergic to cats so the idea of owning one hasn't even been entertained. But FINALLY, my parents consented to letting me get one if he stays in my room and never gets out to roam around the house which is fine for me because my room is large enough for a cat to comfortably live in. So I'm super excited, I'm getting a kitten sometime in April!

So now here's the hard part.  Picking out a name.  I'm almost positive I want a boy kitten so comment if you have any adorable names for my future pet who I will most likely end up treating as my child.  Let's hear 'em!

Until next time,

-Carolina

How to Have an Excellent Day

Ciao bellezze!

What I'm listening to: All The Little Lights - Passenger
Favorite thing I'm wearing: A t-shirt with an anchor on it with a banner wrapped around it that reads 'harbor me in the eye of the storm'.
Fun fact about my life right now: I'm in bed, feeling like death is upon me.  In other words, I'm sick.

So since the pictures that I uploaded myself aren't showing up on my page, I'm going to try to re-upload them tonight in hopes that they'll show.  In the meantime, I'm going to give you beauties five personal tips and tricks that I use throughout my day to make it tip top:

1. Yoga

This is one of my favorites on the list!  I absolutely love yoga.  It's extremely relaxing and stress relieving and it gives you a kick-ass body to boot, the more of it you do.  I try to do it everyday in the morning soon after I've woken up, and at night before I go to bed.  In the morning, yoga energizes me and gives me a pleasant outlook on life even before I walk out the front door.  At night, it calms me and rests my mind before I lay my head on the pillow. Now I know for some people, when they think of yoga, they think it's all painful stretches and bending yourself into inhumane pretzel shapes. I assure you, that's not the case.  I probably am the least flexible person on this planet, and I really like yoga.  Personally, I like to do my yoga to singer/songwriter tunes.

Here are some great moves with a nice variety of easy and challenging moves!  My favorite is the warrior!

2. Eat good food

I'm seriously horrible at this but by that, I don't mean stuffing yourself with ten delicious cupcakes or shoveling popcorn down your throat, I mean good food.  Good for you, that is.  The healthier you eat, the more authentic energy you'll gain, and you'll feel great about yourself!  For me, I love to eat all kinds of fruit. My favorites are watermelon, raspberries, plums, bananas, but I will eat any type of fruit.  It's been scientifically proven that the healthier you are, the happier you are!  So ditch the salty, fatty, and calorie filled foods and go for something that will make your tummy super happy!

3. Positive conversation

It seems like everywhere we go nowadays, whether it be work, school, church, even out with friends, there are always negative people.  The people who are constantly complaining about everything, looking down on people, gossiping, and making rude comments.  It's easy to get sucked into their gloomy ways of thinking, but we really need to resist!  The more we engage in negative thinking, the more unhappy we'll be.  Find people everyday who are genuine, positive, encouraging, and wise!  Plan that each day you will have at least five uplifting conversations with people who you admire for their sunny outlook on life.  My granny of my best friend Eva are the best ones for me to have these talks with, it always makes my day that much better!

4. Listen to good music

Or should I say, feel good music.  Although, sometimes with depressing music, you can sing out your emotions in a good-feeling way.  But for me, I love to listen to cheesy, lovey dovey indie songs (even though I am currently single and the chances of me relating to the songs are slim) when I want to get in a cheerful mood, maybe you do too.  Here are my top ten songs I listen to that can't help but put me in a good mood and don't judge me, because some of them are odd:

1. Flapper Girl - The Lumineers
2. Patient Love - Passenger
3. Dear True Love - Sleeping at Last

4. Little House - Amanda Seyfried
5. I Will Wait - Mumford and Sons (Or Lovers' Eyes... Listen to both on the live album *shivers*)
6. King and Lionheart - Of Monsters and Men
7. You Make My Dreams - Hall and Oats
8. Kiss Me - Ed Sheeran
9. C'est la Mort - The Civil Wars

10. Thrift Shop - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Wanz (sadly addicted)

5. Serve

There are so many opportunities that you might not even think about!  Help the elderly lady with her heavy bags of groceries, watch a stressed out mom's kids (and try not to hate all children at the end of it), listen to someone who just needs to talk, surprise someone with a gift!  You'll be surprised at how positive your day will be when you're thinking of others before yourself. Give it a try!

(Isn't this picture just adorable?!)

6. Hug people!

I'm not kidding!  Hug as many people as possible!  Science has proven that hugging releases two feel-good brain chemicals, serotonin and dopamine that instantly boost your mood!  Hugging people is just nice all around!

(Cats are obviously the cutest huggers!)

Hope these suggestions helped you to have a spiffy day!  Comment if any of these tips did, if you have a favorite, or tell me what your own personal tip is for having a splendid day!

Until next time,

-Carolina

3 Quirky Thrift Store Treasures

Ciao bello gente!

What I'm listening to: Flapper Girl - The Lumineers (if I could marry a song... this would be it)
Favorite thing I'm wearing: My knitted leggings from Sammydress.com!  The pattern is really cozy and cool.
Fun fact about my life right now:  I'm watching the episode of New Girl where Nick and Jess kiss for the first time and I'm giggling like the village idiot. I just want to be them. Is that too much to ask?

So in my last post, I talked about how I frequent thrift stores quite often.  Well, in this post, I'm going to show you three of the quirkiest things I've gotten while sifting through racks and racks of grandpa sweaters, polyester pants, and adult onesies.  This is the thing though, I wear the things that people laugh at in the store, in public. I can't help myself, I love a good outlandish outfit that most people wouldn't wear!

So here they are in very crappy iPhone quality:

Cost: $2
Why I love it: The collar and the soft blue color immediately appealed to me, but the problem was the length and the altogether Little House on the Prairie look it gave off.  You can't see it, but this dress fell right close to the ankles. So I just shortened the length as well as the sleeves and made them puffier. Then, I belted the darn thing and called it good. I was pretty proud of it at the end, contrary to my expression in the third picture. ;)

Cost: $1
Why I love it:  Honestly, I just adore the wackiness to it.  I tried it on just for fun in the Salvation Army, and two of the workers there begged me to get it because they were firmly convicted that I could pull it off.  The thing is, I actually kind of love this! The shape of it gives me a good looking figure, and what's to hate about that?

Cost: ???
Why I love it:  This, I have to thank my best friend Eva for. She bought this for me, but the original dress had sky high shoulder pads an an unfortunate collar that was humongous and very unflattering. So I just cut out the shoulder pads and the pesky collar and called it good. I LOVE the sunflower buttons and the vintage floral pattern. Oh, and the puffy sleeves are to die for.

So that's it for this post!!  Comment if you share my love for quirky thrift shop treasures, or even if you just want to laugh at my odd taste in clothes! Oh, and my lovely friend Rae fixed up my blog to make it look adorable. Honestly, I'm obsessed with the cursor that bursts with rainbow sparkles! Eeee! Comment and tell me if you like it!

Until next time,

-Carolina

Four Seasons, Four Dresses

Ciao, everyone!

What I'm listening to: Relator - Pete Yorn & Scarlett Johansson
Favorite thing I'm wearing - My dark blue denim skinny jeans from Love Culture
Fun Fact about my life right now - My leg up to my knee is asleep on the right side! I hate this!

Alright, I have one thing to say before I start talking about pretty clothes.
My blog sucks.
Well, at least the layout/design do at the moment.  But thankfully, my lovely friend Rae from LillyRae Beauty and Fashion is going to spruce up the whole thing and make it look pretty and cute!

Anyways, I was thoroughly creeping through Polyvore (so obsessed... there aren't words for my obsession) and I decided to show you guys four completely adorable casual dresses that I found!  One for each season of course, because dresses should be worn as much as possible, all year 'round in my book.  So here they are, I hope they make you 'oooo' and 'ahhh' as much as they made me:

Spring:

Blue_20floral_20tea_20dress_2050s_20vinatge_20style_20style_20icon_original
Why I love this: The shape is extremely flattering for all body shapes because the thinnest part of you, your waist, is accentuated. The color combo and sweetheart neck are altogether very delicate and girly.  Also, if the weather's chilly, this dress would go great with a white cardigan.

How much and where: $59 at Storenvy.com

Summer:

Why I love this: The color, the lace, the see through part at the top, need I say more?! This gorgeous dress, once again, is very flattering. It could be paired with ballet flats to give off a cutesy and feminine vibes, or you could rock out a pair of brown combat boots to edge things up. Either way, adorable!!

How much and where: £ 22.95 at http://www.chiarafashion.co.uk

Fall:

Why I love this: First off, Fall is my favorite season, and I positively love Aztec prints in the windy weather. It just makes me feel cozy, and if it gets too cold, I can always slip a pair of warm black tights underneath the dress. I also love to wear a copious amounts of scarves and gloves and boots with dresses like these.

How much and where: £12.00 at boohoo.com

Winter:

Why I love this: Peter pan collars are my FAVORITE. Like, it's not even funny how much. I have over a dozen dresses/shirts with the peter pan. Anyways, I also love the flowy skirt material, and the glittery squiggles at the top. Maybe some of you wouldn't wear this as a 'casual' outfit, but I sure would. I would also throw on a rouge colored coat, woolen tights, and sleek boots and face the weather! How much and where: £ 16.95 at http://www.chiarafashion.co.uk

So that's basically it! I realize Spring's dress is pretty expensive, and if you're like me, you don't appreciate spending loads of money on clothes.  What I like to do is hunt through the local thrift stores for a dress that has similar shape, design, and color.  You'd be surprised at how many treasures I've discovered while pillaging the local Good Will!  Just kidding, I don't steal.  I buy.

So this is basically just a look into my personal taste and style. Tell me if you like them and which one is your favorite! When I get actual readers of course ;)

Until next time,

-Carolina

Allegra K Little Black Dress w/ Hearts Review

Ciao bellezze!

(I'm taking an Italian class at my college.)

Anyways, this is my real first post! Hooray! I've decided I'm going to answer these three VERY random things before every post:

What I'm listening to: Never Wanted Your Love- She & Him
Favorite thing I'm wearing: My black, polka dot tights from Forever 21!
Fun fact about my life right now: After writing this post, I'm going out for a Shamrock Shake!

Okay, I'm going to review this black dress I bought from Allegra K on Amazon a while back. I'll do a more thorough review on Allegra K in general later on, but for now I'll just write about the black dress. That Shamrock Shake is calling me, you know. This is the original dress:

Anyways, I had my reservations when I saw that the dress barely cost $10 with no reviews at all, but me being me, I just bought it anyways. I opened the package, pretty much fearing the worst. Actually though, the dress fit very nicely, and the sewing job was well done! You'll have to iron it as I did, but otherwise, I think it's cute! Here are some pictures of it on me though, so you can see for yourself and judge away! ;)

In these shots, I paired it with black tights (primarily because that's what happened to be on my legs at the time) but I wear it like this usually anyways. I wear wingtip eyeliner, red lipstick, and red heels to complete this outfit. I usually go with a sock bun to fully show off the partially see-through back, but I also like the classy french braid.

Here's the link for the dress! Be careful though if you want to buy anything else from Allegra K. I've gotten one or two things that were unsatisfactory, so just make sure to not be dumb like me and buy things that have raving reviews! :)

Until next time,

-Carolina

(Link to the dress. It says extra small, but I am 5'6 and 122 pounds and NOT an extra small and it still fit with just enough room to spare.)

Welcome To My Blog!

Hello everyone!
My name is Carolina (don't think North Carolina with the pronunciation, think Caro-lee-na) and I'm excited to start this blog!  I'm sixteen years old, living in the United States, even though I'd much rather be dwelling in Japan, Ireland, or Paris France.  Really, I'd like to be ANYWHERE but here, but for now, I shall be content. I adore writing of any kinds. Short stories, poems, songs, you name it. I love art, especially photography. My Canon Rebel T1i is my trusty, constant companion, we're hardly ever separated.  Music is another passion of mine, I play the piano and the uke and I am constantly singing.
Constantly.
Probably too much.
Oh well.
And of course, I LOVE make up and clothes, especially really 'girly' things. Give me ribbons, bows, tulle, puffed sleeves, pink, jewels, cat prints, peter pan collars, really anything that screams cute. My fashion idols are Zooey Deschanel, Audrey Hepburn, Lana Del Rey, Marilyn Monroe, and Jasmine Blu. I realize that I just threw together a jumbled list of fabulous women, but I really do love them each. By the way, if you haven't checked out Jasmine Blu's blog, you're really missing out! She's exquisite!
Of course, I'm rambling. I'll do that a lot.
I'll write about myself more later on, when people start actually reading this.
Until then please enjoy my fashion finds, style tips and advice, reviews on clothes and products, and whatever else I decide to throw on my blog!!

Until next time,

-Carolina

(Remember CARO-LEE-NA) ;)
